Athlete Profile: Adrian Flores
1. In general, what is your background?
I grew in Taylor, Texas, a suburb of Austin. I joined the Marine Corp after a short stint in college (too much partying). After my enlistment was up, one of my Marine Corp buddies offered me a job here in Charleston. I took the position and have been here ever since.
2. Age, Occupation?
29, doing stuff with computers and such.
3. How did you get to know about CrossFit and why did you start?
I’ve always been active throughout my life, but I took sometime off. After my career started to take off, I was stuck in a car or plane seat. So when I got back into the gym, it was a bit tough. I started by doing a lot of circuit training and power-lifting routines in the globo gyms. I started to get tired of the guy reading the paper or a book on stations between sets, so I decided to workout at home. While looking for routines I stumbled across the Crossfit website, after that I was hooked.
4. How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?
It’s changed the way I eat, sleep, and take care of my body as a whole.
5. Name one goal and/or personal record you would like to accomplish through CrossFit?
Complete a WOD with OHS Rx.
6. Favorite CrossFit moment so far?
Completing a WOD with double unders, Rx… I used to hate double unders.
7. What do you like most about CrossFit Integrity?
The people and the coaches that form a great community.
8. Favorite WOD?
Any one that I just finished.
9. Least favorite WOD?
Anything I can’t Rx, which is mostly any WOD with overhead squats in them.
10. Favorite movement?
Squats, any type of squats with the exception of OHS.
11. Least favorite movement?
Overhead Squats
12. Favorite place to eat in Charleston?
Sesame, burger in a bowl.

You’ll get those OHS…just keep working on them!
