1.  In general, what is your background?

I grew up in Snellville, GA.  After high school, I went to The University of Georgia where I studied Public Health.  After UGA, I decided to go back to school in Savannah, GA where I studied ultrasound.  Growing up I did all kinds of sports including gymnastics and competitive cheerleading.  I am a huge sports fan, especially Georgia football, and I still attend as many games as I can.  I also really enjoy golf…I am terrible at it, but I hope to be able to play an entire round one day.

2.  Age, Occupation?

I am 25 years old.  I work as an ultrasonographer at MUSC’s Women’s Health Clinic.

3.  How did you get to know about CrossFit and why did you start?

I heard about CrossFit from Justin White, aka: Wheezy.  He would tell me about this extreme workout that he was doing, and kept asking me to try it.  I finally got up the nerve to go with him to CrossFit one day in July, and I was instantly hooked.  I have been attending on a regular basis ever since he convinced me to go.

4.  How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?

Currently, my fitness is at a level that it has not been at in a really long time….  probably since high school.  One way that CrossFit has changed my life is that it has enabled me to lose 10 pounds since I started, no real change in diet, just extreme workouts.  CrossFit has changed my lifestyle in a way that I never expected.  I used to look forward to going home after work and watching afternoon shows or shows I had Tivo’d, now I look forward to going to CrossFit, and plan my evenings around the gym instead of TV shows.

5.  Name one goal and/or personal record you would like to accomplish through CrossFit?

I achieved my first goal that I set for myself, which was to be able to do pull-ups.  My next goal that I am going to accomplish is double-unders.

6.  Favorite CrossFit moment so far?

When I completed my first WOD with Rx pull-ups.  My hands suffered, but it is still my favorite moment so far.

7.  What do you like most about Crossfit Integrity?

I really enjoy the teamwork, support and comradery at CrossFit Integrity.  I also enjoy the push / yelling that the coaches throw out at me.  Personally, I perform better when there is someone there pushing me and I have never had that at any other gym.

8.  Favorite WOD?

“Tabata Something Else” – don’t know it I spelled that right Brian.  I also liked the last 2 man team WODs that we did where there were 5 movements and you had to wait on your partner before you started the next movement.

9.  Least favorite WOD?

Fight Gone Bad

10. Favorite movement?

Air Squats

11. Least favorite movement?

Split Clean – I have a perma-dent on my left thigh from the last time I attempted this move.

12. Favorite place to eat in Charleston?

There is no way I can choose only one.  My top choices would have to bo to the Mustard Seed, 82 Queen, and Five Loaves (for lunch).
