In honor of Veteran’s Day week, today, we honor the following CrossFit Integrity family members who are currently serving or have served.  As you see these individuals, thank them for their service.

Omar Madrid joined the United States Army National Guard in 2007. He graduated from Basic Combat Training in 2008 from Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri as Military Police. In 2009, Omar toured to Vicenza, Italy, Grafenwoehr, Germany as Garrison Police, and later on in 2009 he was activated to respond to the the earthquake in Haiti. In 2011, Omar transferred to the New York National Guard where later in 2015-2016, he was deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where he conducted Detainee Operations. As of yesterday, he was promoted to Staff Sergeant SSG with the 42 Infantry Division. He will be transferring to the South Carolina Guard in the future.


Marco Villegas served four years Active Duty in the United States Army as a combat engineer in the mid-90s. He was deployed to the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan with the Army Corp of Engineers. For the duration of his enlistment, he was stationed at Ft. Benning, GA with the 36th Engineer Group and the 317th Engineer Battalion “Buffalo Soldiers”. Part of their mission was peace-keeping, which constituted rebuilding infrastructure to affected areas as well as providing support to fellow units by clearing any and all obstructions that hindered operations.

Army Staff Sgt. Jack M. Martin III, 26, of Bethany, Oklahoma, assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group, Fort Lewis, Wash., died September 29th, 2009, in Jolo Island, Philippines, from the detonation of an improvised explosive device. Martin in survived by his wife Ashley Martin, his parents Jack and Cheryl Martin, and siblings Abe, Mandi, Amber and Abi.
